5/13 - 5/17: Students have been wrapping up the year taking their MI & finishing their Great Cartoon Blow Up project. This project is a test grade and needs to be finished BY MONDAY! Otherwise their grade will remain as a 50. The project needs to be turned in with their original cartoon, rubric, and questions completed.

Unit 6- Probability
4/15-4/19: This week we will begin our probability unit. Students will be learning about experimental and theoretical probability, complements, using probability to predict future events, and tree diagrams.
Unit 5- Inferences/Statistics
4/8 - 4/12: This week students will be learning about box plots and dot plots. Students will learn how to read them and make comparisons. We will review on Thursday and have a quiz over comparing box and dot plots on Friday.
3/25- 3/29: Students will be taking their quiz over Survey Types and valid and invalid results. Students will then be learning about the Measures of Center (mean, median, and mode) and Measures of Variability (Range & IQR). Students will then be learning to make box and whisker plots. I have added to the quizlet, continue studying your vocabulary for this unit.
3/18- 3/22: Students will be beginning Unit 5- Inferences/Statistics. They will be learning about samples and populations, survey types, what makes a survey biased or unbiased as well as valid and invalid. They will also use data to predict for future events. The first quiz will be on Monday the 25th! Study the quizlet!

This week will will learn about the parts of a circle, circumference, and area of circles. They explored the circumference using Oreos. They will also be taking the MI to find their math inventory score.

12/3: Students learned how to leave sales tax and the tip on a bill. They have homework practicing this tonight.
11/30: Students took a mini quiz on Direct Variation.
11/28 - 11/29: Students learned how to determine if tables, graphs, and equations show direct variation, or have a constant rate of change. They have homework practicing this tonight.
11/27: Students created shrinky dinks to practice finding scale factor.
11/26: Students are learning how to use scale factor, proportions, and observational drawing skills to dilate and create a model of the human heart. Mrs. V the art teacher will be helping us! Heart Drawing Instructions

Students who scored a 78 or lower have an alternative assignment they can complete (outside of school) to earn points back on their test. They need to follow the test triage sheet for directions. Based on the questions/topics missed, students can complete worksheets that are worth a certain number of points. THIS ASSIGNMENT IS DUE MONDAY, 11/26.

11/8: We did a quick unit rate practice to find how many calories are in some of the foods we eat, and how fast the fastest car and plane can travel. Students then learned how to find unit rates with complex fractions. They have homework practicing this tonight.
